If anyone is interested, I have a RTR Twin Hammers for sale or preferably trade for a brushless 4x4 Traxxas Slash. Will post up in the classifieds. I've got 2 so this one was a spare that I had built for a friend of mine that didn't have one...well, he finally stood up to his wife and bought one..lol I'm proud of him. SO this one can go.

Not the Mizz!!This is what pushed me to finally get a Twin Hammers. Although I was instructed to paint the new panels I made so it would look like my kid's school bus.

Yeah, I hate to get rid of it, but a Slash will be much more forgiving when it comes to bashing, and my buddy can get the parts pretty much anywhere. That is one of the nicer bodies that i've painted...but we already have plans to paint up a Slash truck body the same way.

Acrylic face shield panels, yellow regular rattle can paint, and black vinyl numbers on the inside. Lazy and cheap. The holes all lined up mostly and I'll do a set in lexan at a later date. I need to make some of the small number plates to match, too. Lol.

Nice post. I may use that at some point, though I am focussed on my Ascender at the moment.
Was it the set screws where the driveshafts enter the front diff? Those f’n set screws are the worst

Edit: just noticed your follow up, :p. Those set screws have broken loose on me on a few occasions. There was a guy on RCC who suggested that a center punch where the screw contacts the driveshaft solved the issue.

my kit built TH is locked at for single speed...it's mainly for rock racing than crawling....the DT was set up for 2 speed but never used it...but i'm thinking about it.

You can have both. Enjoy Talion while you build XL...

Very true. Any suggestions on Batteries for the Arrma? I was reading that two 3S batteries tend to be lighter, than one 6S. If I go with 3S, that will be more practical, as they can fit in the XL as well.

I got two 3S. The Talion is configured to deal with that-I honestly cannot believe how well configured the Talion was-I took mine to TepuiFest and it's still in one piece :)

Is yours the one, with a battery box similar to the Yeti? I saw the newer models come with the came battery rig as the Arrma Outcast. Which looks like it works much better.

You using soft or hard packs? I was checking out SMC batteries. I'm seeing people put their cars through some ridiculous stuff without breaking. Boggles the mind, to see a plastic rocket drop 70feet and not explode. haha

The Talion uses a side-by-side tray and the Yeti has one tray on each side.

I found an Arrma Raider, brushed RTR for sale on local Craigslist for $80...tried contacting the guy several times...no response, I thought for that price, why not. :notsure:
