Hi Everyone! I'm new to this blog. This is my second Tacoma (Double Cab, TRD off road, Long bed) and I jut got last week (10/6/17).
I noticed two significant issues of this new truck.
    1. Bed is misaligned. Driver side is flush with the cab but passenger side is 3/4 inch to the left.
    2. My bed on the passenger side is higher than driver side. I measured 2 inch difference a few days ago (I parked on my even driveway and measured 2 inch off when I parked forward and backward.) Today it is still 1/2 inch off. I don't know why!

    Anybody have same issues?

    Your suffering from 2 issues

    1. Taco lean
    2. 3rd gen bed misalignment

Take it back to the dealer and have them align your bed or do it yourself by loosening the bed bolts.

The taco lean is due to the fuel tank being in the driver's side. It tis what it tis

My 2016 had the same issue, take it to the dealer, they fix it for free.

    Thank you for replying.
I'm taking it back to dealer but not the same dealer (the one I bought from is 2.5 hours away). Will the Taco Lean cause any issue in the future? I have never heard of it.

Nope, they all do it. When I fill my tank it drops over an inch on the driver's side. I've actually busted out measure tape at the gas station

LOL! I'm so disappointed, but at least I know, i'm not the only one with same issue. I hope Toyota is aware of it. But mine was two inched difference. It was too extreme.

Mine doesn't lean, I have measured a few times and it's always the same on both sides no matter how much gas is in the tank.

My 2017 had a bed misaligned too- didn't see it until I put a shell on it and one side stuck out. Dealer's auto body shop had to move both the bed and cab to fix it. I got a free two-day rental during the repair too. Now it's a perfect fit.

Wow. I hope mine won't take that long. How far was it off?

I didn't do mine myself but sounds like you might be able to- since dealer said it would require both the bed and cab to be moved, I let them do it- it was all to no cost for me so that worked out.

I'm wondering the bed misalignment may cause passenger side higher than the driver side. 2 inch difference when gas tank was full.

Probably because my bed is more towards the driver side.

If I align the bed, will I also have to adjust the bumper endcaps?

Why not take it to the dealer? It's under warranty.
