I've got an aftermarket grille and I have seen several people use fj letters that say toyota across the grille. What year fj letters have yall been getting and how have you secured them to the grille?
    Thanks in advance

I have no idea what year FJ these are from, sorry....
However I do know how I secured them!
-I cut off the plastic mins that were on the back so it was nice and flush.
-I bought some metal t-nuts, appropriate screws, some washers, and a tube of 3m epoxy that is meant for plastic/metal.
Here is a pic of the type of nut.
-I later the grill down on a table and placed the Toyota word down were I wanted it to be located. I used painters tape to secure it, and flipped the grill over so I was looking through the mesh at the rear of the Toyota word.
    - With a sharpie I marked the locations of the nuts on the plastic. (After you remove the Toyota word make sure they are even in height)
-I mixed up the epoxy and attached the t-nuts to the back of the Toyota word at the spots I had marked with the sharpie. (I used 2 t-nuts)
-After letting it sit over night to be dry I slid the t-nuts through the mesh. Because the mesh is so thin, they stuck way through it. I used the washers I bought to act as spacers, and then put in the 2 screws, using loctite.
I have had this setup for 8+ months using a car wash 5+ times a week, both touchless and soft touch.
I did paint the white Toyota letters red before doing all this so it better matched my truck.

I have a unlimited wash pass. It's on my way to work, and I like a clean truck. The soft touch has the spinning brush thing but it doesn't effect the Toyota logo.

When somebody else starts making the payments on my truck, I'll listen to them on how I should take care of it.

When did you do that? I thought you had a red TRD logo on your grill.

Thanks brother only difference I believe now is the Ditch Lights actually point down to the Ditches, and the TOYOTA on the grill.

Caught that did ya, when I switched over to the Patriots Plate I never even looked at it. The Reg said NE AJ70 and I never even looked at the plate when I put it on. About 6 months later the RMV contacted me and asked me to go look at my plate because another vehicle that got pulled over had my plate and I had his plate. So in turn I now have my correct plate. Never seen that happen before.

I taped off all of the black areas. Then sprayed with red spraypaint. Them sprayed with clear. Removed the tape.

I painted with Duplicolor Gunmetal for the main color, and used a silver paint pen for the outline, and clear coat over the the whole thing (minus the black parts that connect the letters). I did the main color first, and then the outline. This was a massive pain in the ass, much easier if you paint just the main part, but I'm happy with the end result.

If you look close at the top picture, you can see where I touched up the black parts with a Sharpie where there was some coloring outside the lines. It eventually blended in so now it's pretty much invisible.
