I've got a 1997 2.7L 5-speed 4WD with tilt wheel/cruise, and the intermittent wiper functionality has ceased working.

There is no intermittent wiper functionality, only the lower speed matching the true lower wiper speed. Also, when you turn the wipers off, they remain wherever they are when you turn them off (and do not return to the park position).

So, I need to replace the wiper switch.

I saw once a fairly detailed instruction for replacing the switch but I am unable to find it again. The owner had images showing the whole procedure. Very helpful. Can anyone provide either a link to replacement instructions?

I have the same vehicle with the same problem. A used wiper motor did not fix it. Was your problem the switch?

Haven't tackled it yet...I'm still waiting for the right donor truck at the local pull-and-pay boneyard to avoid spending > $160...

OEM Part No 84652-04060 for 4WD with tilt steering...

Post bump. I got a intermittent switch off Ebay and need to swap out the original. Looking for help getting the steering column apart.
    Thanx, Dave
