    Hello,
I apologize in advance for the urgent title. I currently have my car jacked up and am rebuilding my icons and it is going smoothly until...

I noticed one of theseals provided in the kit I purchased (2.5”, ifp) does not match what came out of the seal head. I’ve included a picture.

The inner seal matches, but the outer seal (bottom in picture) is both a different color and shape. The seal removed is the yellow on the left and the new one is the black on the right.

Any idea what my problem is? I’m assuming this seal will not work due to varying geometry.

    Any assistance appreciated.

    Thanks

    Stuff and junk and things...
Color doesn't matter. The thickness of the seal at the OD does.

Just an update, found out the older Icons used a different seal. They used to be included in the rebuild kits but are no longer.

I was able to get the correct seal from shockseals.com. Thanks to them and tmff for the help/recommendations.

And last question...I idiotically didn’t take a picture and forgot which way I pulled this seal out now. I’m 99% sure it goes in the orientation shown on the LEFT seal. Can anyone confirm?
