I don't build anymore, I had to get a "real" job . I've always been around building, carpentry, finish, cabinet, flooring work. My first full time job as a 16 yr old kid was installing and finishing hardwood floors. I spent about 9 years building houses with my brother. We started out with Log homes and then moved into stick frame homes.

I read a lot, and I'm not afraid to try something new if I don't know how to do it. Most of the time it is just getting started that is the hard part. I've pick up a lot of skills buy just watching or doing.

It is coming along. Cabinets were delivered and installed yesterday. I have a good bit to go, but I am moving along pretty good right now. I have a few big list items that need to be completed yet.

    The end is near.

    3 down 1 to go.

Painters are painting the inside (looks freaking amazing), so I am outside buttoning up a few things. Not too much longer for sure. I have some other pictures to post that are behind where I'm at right now. I'll get to that. Thought I would drop a quick update.

    I like the counter-tops, but I have a question.
Why no back splash in the kitchen?

Didn't want to spend the money on it. There will be a tile backsplash there eventually. I knew that going in, and the granite was expen$ive.

    Today we went from this:
    image.jpg

    To this:
    image.jpg

Had to break down the table saw and clean out the rooms. I got a good start on it tonight. Should be finished by Sunday afternoon. I have several other things I need to do this weekend. I will be getting garage doors (finally) next week, and I need to run a few wires. Also, I need to take a few loads of trash to the land fill. Going to be busy. Good start for the weekend though.
