Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but I will do my best to explain. Basically, whenever I hit the gas and the truck begins to move, there is a static feedback noise coming from the front passenger door/firewall area. At first I thought it was the passenger speaker but after having my fiancee drive it around so I could listen it seems that it could be coming from the firewall area under the glovebox.

I have taken my truck to the dealership for this issue 3 times now but with no luck. One guy in the service dept even told me this is how all 2017 Tacoma's are built which I have a hard time believing considering my 2004 Explorer was great even after heavy stereo and lighting modifications.

This has been an ongoing issue since the day I bought the truck. And recently, I installed the Morimoto HID Elite system and the Morimoto XB LED fog lights - and honestly I think the issue got slightly worse. Has anyone else experienced this issue on their 3rd gen tacoma?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
That might be the high pressure fuel pump you are hearing.

Yes it is only when the accelerator is engaged when I hear the static feedback. Not sure how to fix this issue since the service department can't seem to figure it out. I'll look up the high pressure fuel pump to see if this could be the issue.

After doing some research on the high pressure fuel pump, I am still not sure if this is the issue. Based on what I've found, the engine would be making a squeaking or chirping sound if the fuel pump was bad and I am not hearing anything similar to that from the engine. The issue is only when the accelerator is engaged - there is a static feedback sound coming from the front passenger area and immediately turns off once you let off the gas. Part of me still thinks the static feedback is coming from the front passenger door speaker but I'm not 100% sure...what would cause this? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I am taking my taco in for its 5000 mile service today and plan on mentioning it to the service department again.

According to the service manual, the alternator is suspect if noise is present through the speakers while gas is depressed.
For shits and grins; how's the negative battery terminal look? Clean and tight?

Mine does it too but I don't think it's static feedback. Mine is a very high frequency rattle coming from the passenger door speaker while accelerating. It does sound very much like static though.

Mine usually stops after I've been driving for a while but not always. I just assume that something is loose and rattling in that general area. Unfortunately I can't push and pull on things while driving to isolate it and my wife is of no help since she's deaf. I've been meaning to take a buddy for a ride to help me isolate it but I never think about it unless I'm driving.

The negative battery terminal is perfectly clean - no problem there as the truck is only a few months old. Has been making this sound ever since I bought it and the dealership cant seem to figure it out.

I've had the truck looked at 3 times now at the dealership and they either 1) can't hear it or 2) don't know what it is or how to fix it. Mine makes that high frequency rattle/noise every time the accelerator is engaged. The service department has even tied all wires down with extra zip ties thinking it was something rattling but I still hear it everyday.
