Hello, I needed some help on how to take down my bedside stickers on my 2016 Tacoma but don't know how to take them down safely without messing up my truck. Any answers?

Warm them up with hair dryer or on a warm day pick with finger nail and pull. Use goo gone after to clean up.

Stickers come off with hair dryer or heat gun on low, warm up whole decal, then start on the edge and pull, blow hot air between sticker and paint to keep it moving.

Emblems I find work better, with high quality Dental floss, and with a sawing action while keep it moving underneath the emblem.

Fishing line also works great, less breakage, but more scratches that you will have to remove after getting sticky material (3M) off with Goo Gone, Mineral Spirits, or decal eraser.

Similar to other posts. Heat with hair dryer. Peel decal off. Then spray with this, let sit for 20-30 seconds, wipe off. Spray again, wipe again. Then put some touch-up wax in the area because you will have stripped it all off. It took me roughly 30 minutes to do both sides. I too like the clean look.

It may take a bit of time, but once you get the hang of it, the search thread is very useful. If you can ignore the sarcasm and occasional trolls, TW is a useful forum.

My decals were a complete pain in the ass to remove, even with heat they would not come off easily. They came off in 1,000 little pieces because it kept breaking.

One I did finally get the decals off there was a ton of glue residue behind. I use a 3M "eraser wheel" (got on Amazon) to remove all the residue then used Meguiars polish to make it look shiny again.

My stickers came off in many pieces also. They were a PITA, but the result was worth it.

If you do the badges also, once you get the plastic badges off, wait for the foam adhesive to cool completely. If you do that, it will come off just using your fingers and leave no residue behind.

Does it feel good to be a jerk or were you just trying to find the emoticon that best describes your current predicament?

In any case it really must take a "special" type of idiot to click on a thread, think it's a waste of of his time AND STILL bother to reply.

As for the search option and poll, again....chill and reread the above statement.

You assume everyone is as comfortable and/or knowledgeable with this forum and messing with their vehicle. You don't even know how many people would love to take off their dealer stickers but don't because they think the paint will come off.

OP, if you still happen to have a sunny day place the side of the truck facing the sun for a little bit and then peal them off. Do not use any tool as you may scratch the paint. I simply used my fingernail on a corner to get me started, but still be careful as it can scratch the clear coat. Then get some of the goo be gone stuff or use and little bit of baby oil to get the residue off. Then wash.

    Not hard at all.
