Did you remove the dust cap up front? or is that a custom piece you had machined?

I tell ya, if I didn't have that horseshoe up my butt when I lucked out with the Copper Ray 10s, I would so be rocking the Matt Bronze in any of the other styles but the simplicity of the F5 has a lot of draw for me.

It's impossible to say anything negative about any of these styles but if I had to say one thing, remotely negative, it would be that the beadlock styles hold water. In my case, since I live in the snow belt, they will hold snow. That will freeze and turn to ice. In any case it's not enough to change my mind or make me worry.

I plan on buying those RV wheel covers or use 55 gal trash bags to keep snow out of mine if I don't get my garage cleaned out before winter sets in. But, overall, it's a small price to pay for the look.

For guys that use these to off road, water, snow and ice change to rocks, mud, sand, etc. Those are abrasive. I would probably worry. Real men don't.

Yes, but it's all grey, from stress worrying too much about everything.

If I were to off road, I'd haves two sets of SCS wheels.

A lot of black wheels do get lost, but I think the revamped classic 5 star F5's pop in black! The simplicity sets it apart and you can't NOT see them

Sup Jay! Hahaha.. Yeah, in my obsessive late night research I found that there are a ton of Tacoma guys that rock these wheels. I almost forgot that you guys had a Tacoma. Still digging it? I bet you are. I would love to pick one up some day. I miss my 1994 Extended cab. What wheels are you looking at, or have you narrowed it down yet?

Yeah, I think the F5's do a good job of standing out. But I wanted something a bit different. I am coming from flat black wheels with my Pro Comp 7069's. I just pulled the trigger on a set of five F5's 3.5"BS in the Matte Gunmetal finish. I am pretty excited to see what these look like on my rig.

@SCSPerformance I'm looking at getting these in 16" but not sure what offset/backspacing to go with. I want to be able to run stock and continue to use them after I put coilovers/upper arms on.

    So should I go
    16 x 8, 3.5 or 16 x 8, 4.5?

IIRC, 4.5 would be best for keeping stock then upgrading. 3.5 will push the wheel out towards the fender. Could potentially cause rubbing issues for stock suspension and larger tires.

Yes we love the Tacoma. Took time getting used to but I like it.

It's wife truck so I convinced her to go scs. She likes the stealth 6. Just have not decided on finish yet.

You have F5's...why would I want the same??? LOL. I'd rather get a set of brushed copper or brushed gold Ray 10's in 16"...but, from what I've read...that won't happen. So, if I ever get tired of my TRD Baja/FJ/Pro wheels, I'll just have them painted or powder coated the color I want. But, thanks for the tag, bromingo!

so on your site, which ones exactly am I supposed to order?

...and second Q, any rubbing issues with the 17x8.5 4.3bs with 275/70 17's? (going with the KO2 of course. Stock suspension, for now.

...and third q....it never ends, do the stock tpms sensors work with the F5's?
