Yeah mine has the fuel cutoff for redline too which is why I can't hold her wide open for more then a few seconds....and as far as the welded diff goes....it's not bad until your in a parking lot or turning from a stop sign...any turn with some speed is fine...the problem is these 2nd gen tacomas have the poly bed and they are so light it makes a violent bed hop when making tight turns to the point I thought the bed mounts were gonna break...but with traction bars or ladder bars it should fix it and then with a 1jz motor she should be alright to slide :) and I have a connection in tires I get 15s-17s for like $30-$40 a piece

Yea there was a pic somewhere on TW that showed a side-by-side. I wouldn't say it was too tough to tell the difference, but not real obvious (like some aftermarket ones are) either. Seemed like just the right amount to me.

I'm going to give polishing my headlights a try sometime soon. Both lenses are getting cloudy.

Check out Blue Magic Headlight Lens Restorer. Easy to use, low cost (even cheaper than Amazon in a few different retail stores), and lasts a good 6-12 months for me. Mine were *really* cloudy the first time and I ended up applying and wiping over and over again for about 15 minutes each side. But they came out about 85-90% of the way to brand new looking. I tried a few other "DIY" tips on here and YouTube and they did absolutely nothing for me. Too lazy to buy the crazy buff and polish kits and I don't think the results will be any better than what this does, but YMMV.

Oh hey, finally hit the 50 post mark. Anyone want tires? PM me.

    (4) Used BFG Rugged Terrains [not Rugged Trails/Fails] - P265/70/R16
    -$200 for all four
-37,500 miles on them. I've gotten 50-55k on my last two sets (mostly highway), so a good ~15k on these left.
-There's a screw in the one tire (see pics), but zero air leaking in at least 2,000 miles of driving (could have been more than that). Tire shop looked at it after dismounting from wheel and said best to leave it there. Not expected to leak and replacing it with a patch is more likely to leak.
-Always rotated every 5,000 miles. Served me well in Wharton, got through moderate mud holes - would not try it with the crazy thick stuff though.
    PICS HERE

    (1) "New" [Unused, but 6 years old] Runway Enduro HT - P265/70/R16
    -$75
-Mounted as a new spare 6 years ago, but never used. It's a little dirty from mud splashing up on it (as seen in pics), but otherwise looks to be in great shape.
    PICS HERE

So $75 for a 6 yr old tire or $85 for a fresh DOT?

Unused doesn't mean fresh out of the factory. The few other places I'd found selling them looked like random surplus leftovers from a while ago. Looking at this seller, it looks like maybe the same thing. But if it's manufactured recently, then congrats on the find. Sorry the price offends you?

I was talking to a Toyota advisor about this a few weeks ago and he said the recall (or whatever they officially call it) was reopened due to a number of owners ignoring the notices, selling their tacos, and the new owners never finding out from prior owner or Toyota about the frame issue. The new owners complained that Toyota should (somehow) be informing any new owners if they buy a Taco that didn't have it's frame replaced. The other complaints were that the recall wasn't open long enough for owners to do something about it (??) and that others never received notice in the first place. Bottom line, if the frame wasn't outright replaced yet, you supposedly can get it checked again now.
