Hello all I want to put 285/75/16 tires on my stock rims, do I need wheel spacers? If so what size?

I just put 285/75/16 trail grapplers on a few days ago. I went with 1.25" bora spacers in the front and am ordering .75" bora's for the rear. The front would have rubbed the uca's without the spacer. You don't necessarily need them for the rear but the front tires will stick out further than the rears so I'm just putting then on the rear to even everything out

Thanks for the input but I've already done the work. I went with 1.5" front and rear, I had to trim a few spots from rub issues but it's getting there.

Yessir...im running 285/70/17 cooper stt pros on stock wheels...If you're running stock you'll need the spacers/adapters to clear your upper control arms. Are you lifted already?

Curious to see what 1.25 spacers would look like installed of course. I want some up front only. But I have 265/70 17s for now. Going 285s soon

My profile picture is my truck with 285's and 1.25" adapters. Doesn't push the wheels out too far just enough to get them away from the UCA'S..Spidertrax is about the best bang for your buck as far as adapters go.

Do you have to cut the factory studs down to put the spacers on ?

No rubbing on even surface, but off road I still rub the body mount on both sides. The next step is to cut and re box them.
