Just purchased a set of the 4 Runner TRD Pro's in Matte Gray for our 17' Sport. Local dealer offered $688 for the set out the door. Sounded good, what do you guys think? From there I had my heart set on the Yoko Geolandar GO15 265/70/17's but the discount tire guys weren't real hip to them when I called to order. To be honest, it didn't sound like they had much experience with them so I don't know how much weight to put into their advice....Do I go with the Geo's or is there a better AT tire out there for someone who's going to be primarily on the road but also wants the great wet/snow traction? If that tire exists I couldn't find it. I think the Geo's will look great on the new wheels and give a better look as well as better performance than the stock Toyo's. Let the debate begin!

Everyone has their own opinion, but being that size you are able to get a ko2 in C load range. They're pricey, but traction on and off road in unbeatable for an AT imo.

I have had the Geolanders but have had better luck with the Firestone Destinations.

Seconded for Wildpeaks. I got them last June and have put 20k miles on them with no complaints.
Solid wet/snow traction, without being overly aggressive. Handled well at ORV parks, Upper Peninsula trails, and onroad.

Thirded. I love my wildpeaks. They're nice and quiet on the highway, too.

You did very well on the price. Running BFG KO2's on mine. C's at 265/70/17. Love em.

Ray Adams Toyota and Olathe Toyota both offered the same price in the Kansas City area. Of course that's local pick up and they both mentioned shipping could get real expensive(likely over $100). They did indicate the $688 was close to or at their cost. Basically came down to $172 per wheel compared to their $215 per wheel starting price. They didn't have them at the dealer but showed them in their local warehouse so I should have them tomorrow.

At $380 right now you would have to be retarded not to go with them

You guys are convincing....so when you say these Wildpeak AT's are quiet.....share with me what your comparing them to? I don't have much experience with AT tires so how would these compare to the stock Toyo's from a noise perspective?
