Haven’t added anything to this thread in a while. Yesterday I spent the day changing out a torn boot on my driver side CV axle. That wasn’t very fun. Messy. Axles suck. Happy that it’s fixed now though.

Today I decided I desperately needed to repaint my front bumper cuz it just looked really worn and ugly. I took off the bumper and noticed that the frame horns were cracked pretty badly in 3 different spots on each one. So I got to work and took some 3/16” plate that I had lying around and made some new reinforced frame horns. Also grinded off the stock bolts and welded in some much beefier 1/2” grade 8 bolts. Feels soooo much more solid and I don’t have to worry about those cracks failing if I’m winching my truck or something now haha. I repainted the bumper with rustoleum truck bed liner and it looks freaking great! I love the way that stuff looks! By the time I put the bumper back on it was almost dark so I didn’t take a picture.

I like the beefy ones that SOS concepts sells. They’re only like $50. Yeah dude they’re super thin! Glad I noticed the cracks before going out wheeling again. Anymore beating on the truck would have potentially cracked them really badly

Yeah dude. It’s only 1/8” there. Super thin. How’s the Jeep coming along??

Nice man. That’s cheap. That’s funny. I feel like it’s maintenance time for everyone right now.

Wanna send some cold weather here? Please! It’s December 5th and it was 72 degrees lol. We’ve hardly had any rain or snow this year season

It’s coming. Ordering full hydro here shortly so that should be exciting to install.

My Grandparents live in Wisconsin and my grandma told me yesterday was 60 and today was 26 and the wind was howling so hard she could barely hear her own thoughts

Agreed. I just really want it to snow in our mountains here so I can do a little snow wheeling and snowboarding. I wanna take my wife and kid up to the snow and play too. We had enough rain last winter here to get California out of the drought it had been in for years! But if the weather stays like this for much longer we’ll be right back in a drought

And you’re in Colorado! It’s mandatory that it snows there!

We had .23" of measurable moisture in November, and at the moment, December isn't shaping up to be any better  And the mountains haven't really had any to speak of either, some resorts are open, but are having to make snow.

I’ve never been wheeling in the snow. Would like to have a winch before attempting lol
