Recently purchased a brand new 2017 quicksand color 2x4 4 banger. I didnt go for the V6 because I'm cheap and I dont tow. However, I do want it to look a little beefier and cooler. Was wondering whats the biggest tire size that can fit on my 16' stock alloys without lifting it? (I may level the front an inch higher).

    Thanks in advance

    265/75r16
    Or
    265/70r17

Search for 255/85r16 as another option on stock wheels

Here is the tire size calculator.

Does anyone recommend lifting a 3rd gen 2x4 4cyl? I live in Florida, we get some serious flash floods in the summer, thats the only reason I would consider lifting it. My question is, is it bad for the puny 2.7 long term?

IMO, as long as you can come to terms that you'll lose some power you can probably get away with a small lift to accommodate some larger diameter tires. That 2.7 is a hearty little engine, you just won't be breaking any speed records.
