Stop light was down (blinking red) and waited for my side of traffics turn and went. Apparently right at that moment the other direction went green and a tundra came cruising through and we met and I t-boned him. Brutal morning. Officer didn't assess fault and I had a witness on my side of the story so I hope that helped. Oh and while waiting there the traffic light went down again and started blinking come on!

Also, my air bags didn't inflate. Seems strange I know I couldn't have been going more that 15 mph but with that damage I feel like they should have.

wow that's a lot of damage from a blinking-red light collision, I'd imagine the speeds weren't very high unless the guy completely rolled through the light entirely. Damn

    Sucks OP

Edit: sorry, didnt see the part where it turned green for the other guy right as you were taking your turn

I'd be talking to Toyota or nhtsa.gov about why your airbags didn't go off!!! Seems like a huge liability especially because the Tundra's did.

How much for that grill?? :)

Interesting that your airbags didn't deploy- do you think it was hard enough that it should have? - they are programmed to not go off if the internal G's stay within limits, maybe the crumple zone was enough to cushion the blow and kept the G's down for you. You can get hurt by those things so there's a good reason perhaps, why they did not go off if they were not needed. Did the belts bruise you much? That's a good way to tell if the airbags should have deployed... glad you're ok!

Sorry to hear! I bet a different outcome if we had a real bumpers on these trucks!

    I don't believe that's a total job.

If your story is true and you have a witness to corroborate your story, you may have grounds for a lawsuit against the city/county/whatever. Who knows... I’m no attorney.

Shouldn’t an intersection stoplight group default to red lights all around for a bit before the regular interval cycle resumes? Who knows... I’m no transportation engineer (but my dad was).

You may think about getting a dash cam. It’s stories like yours that made me decide to get one.

    Glad you’re all okay!
