Anyone wheel here on a regular basis and have wheel spacers? If so, what brand and thickness are you using?

    Later.

I assume you mean wheel spacers.

Buy some 1.25" to 1.5" Spidertrax and you'll be fine

I wheeled with 1.25" Spidertrax spacers and had no issues. Just make sure you use the Loctite and torque the nuts down to the required torque spec.

Just make sure to get a good quality hub centric spacer, like Spidertrax (there are others as well, but I've always used Spidertrax). Use red loctite, and torque them to proper specs (use a torque wrench, never use an impact!); and they'll be no different than running the equivalent backspaced aftermarket wheel. Double check the spacer lugs after the first 50-100 miles or so, then just make sure to double check them during tire rotations. When I check them, I just set my torque wrench 5lbs lower than the torque spec as to not risk breaking the loctite bond; I've never actually had one move, but if it did, I would re-loctite and re-torque to spec.

I've done plenty of hard wheeling running spacers on jeeps, and also currently have 1.25" on my Taco. Have never experienced a failure.

I have both installed on my 17. Wheel spacers are gtg, I’ve never had any issues. Buy quality/hub centric and re torque after recommended number of miles. Anyone who says they will wear out your bearings quicker is right... but they have no values to offer as to how much quicker, and most people including myself believe the “quicker” wear is so negligible it’s a non issue.

Lift spacers are dumb as hell unless you do your homework and make an educated decision. If you’re not ready to LT your truck, or at the very least put some fox coilovers on, then MY opinion is toytec half inch spacers up front, leave the rear alone. That gets you one inch lift up front without risking damage or unintended wear on your other components, doesn’t fuck up your ride quality, doesnt bugger up your factory geometry, and again, my opinion, puts you in the Goldilocks zone until you choose to go balls out.
Stick out like this depending on your wheel specs

Do you guys really throw on locktite right off the bat? Seems to me you wouldn't really be able to retorque after x miles.

With that said I've run spacers on high horse power cars and on my Tacoma. The Tacoma has seen a lot of rough off road miles. I've never used locktite and just retorque once.

Due my problem of not being able to leave things alone I probably have the wheels/tires off once a month. I always check wheel spacer torque when they are off and have never found a loose lug nut.

Agreed from above. Use a quality spacer like spidertrax or bora. Good wheel spacers aren't really that expensive so don't cheap out on them.

Not so much re-torquing, more so just confirming that they're still tight. That's why I set my torque wrench 5lbs lower than spec when I re-check torque; that way I don't break the loctite bond, but if any have loosened that's still going to let me know.

Though like you, I've also never found a loose lug.

I ran Spidertrax 1.25 spacers on my 2014 4Runner Trail edition. Studs snapped and broke off. Ever since then, I never run spacers on any of my trucks ;-(

    Really? Wow!!

I'm assuming they were installed correctly and am wondering what the scenario was when this happened? Extreme wheeling? All wheeels had the studs break or??

Most folks on here seem to have had no issues...
