That looks like one fun rappel. I need to get back to Utah.

Neon is a fun one for sure!

One of my favorites though is a 400+ foot rappel into the Narrows of Zion from high above. Its really fun because you land in a semi-crowded area filled with tourists wearing bermuda shorts and sandals, while you have a wetsuit and climbing gear on. Most look at you like you're damn space aliens as you come off belay.

If you have a heavy foot, do NOT get pulled over on an Indian reservation. It will ruin your trip. Just something to keep in mind, since you will be in that area.

Very good reminder. Also be ready at any moment for some old ass truck driving at 35 only. Drive safe. Lastly dont take any offense if the Navajo wont smile at you they never smile, and be ready for lots of stray dogs whenever you stop in town. Great country though. Really pretty.

^ Exactly this. I was working wire-line back in the early 90's and was hauling ass through Navajo Nation to make it to my next location. I was pulled over south of Shiprock. I don't remember how much the ticket was, but it was not cheap... in the 200's if I remember correctly. I was also searched, questioned and forced to wait for close to two hours for the officer's cohort/backup to show up. If your name is Cleetus, Billy-Bob, NM Lance or something similar, then try to keep a very low profile on the res.

I second Moab, awesome town and so much to do. Arches and canyon lands are right there. And when in doubt camping is always easier on the BLM land.
