Here's my problem. I'm a little confused on my running lights. My daytime running lights are my turn signals. My truck is the only Tacoma i've seen like this. What am i missing here? I bought the truck new in '08 and it's always been like this off the lot.

In your photo, your corner marker light is illuminated, not your turn signal (located next to the grill). Is the corner light the light that is your DRL?

Any chance your truck is from Canada? I believe Canada DOT equivalent requires corner lights to be illuminated (similar to a DRL) whenever the vehicle is running as a safety regulation. While you may have not purchased the truck in Canada, that doesn’t mean the dealer you purchased at didn’t get one from there.

My bad. My side Markers are my daytime running lights
Thanks for the response. Yes. The sidemarkers are my DRL's. I'm just confused because every Toyota i've ever seen on the road, those DRL's are next to the grill. I bought my truck in So. Cali. and it was made in Baja, Cali. I'm looking for a way to make the lights next to the grill my DRL.

The only time they come on is when i activate my turn signals and they flash when i lock my truck.

Don't know what's up with your park lights on all the time, but here is how you add factory DRLs. However, see that little 1" square light diffuser in the middle of your turn signals? That means you have the early non TSB headlights with the plastic turn signal lenses. The TSB headlights changed that to glass because the DRLs were melting the lenses.
