Hello I am looking to purchase a dual battery tray from Colombia Overland for a 1st gen.. I believe they are now closed. I would also be interested in some pics and measurements so I could build my own if I can't find one. Thanks for any help Chris

I have the ruff stuff battery tray with an optima dual battery set up in my truck. One thing to consider is the extra weight in the corner of your truck might bend the support. It's only thin sheet metal. It's caused my driver side head light to point upward quite a bit.
In hind site I should have put my second battery in the bed. It would have been a lot simpler and left me with more 2nd battery choices.

Yea, I will probably put my 2nd battery in the bed; somewhere. I have a topper that I hardly ever remove, so I'm thinking of mounting it up high in the bed (passenger side). Mostly use it for camping, but also to run a rear winch.

There's tons of room back there too. And if you run a rear winch it'll be perfect.

I run all my accessories off the 2nd battery. That way the toyota engineered electrical system is isolated from the craziness I've added. I also run a solar panel and the battery is a deep cycle.

Yes they are, I had one years ago and thought it was amazing, and then it died. I considered getting another until I read all of horrible reviews of the newer ones. They don't seem to make them like they used to.

@ccctaco I can get you some measurements. This setup has worked great for me.
