Hey guys, new to the forum. Also new to trucks. So today we got our first snowfall so I turned my truck to 4 high. My truck is jerking when I cut the wheel to make sharp turns (like in a parking lot) anybody have an idea what it could be? Please help!
    I have a 2017 off-road.

Sounds normal for most 4wheel drive vehicles. There will be some jerking on sharp turns if there isn't much snow. The drive train is binding up a bit I would imagine.

That's just how most 4 wheel drives work. It's not a problem but you don't want to drive around on dry pavement in 4hi or 4low. Just save it for scenarios where you need the traction and you'll be all right.

You should not make real sharp turns in four-wheel-drive unless it is slippery.

Yep, shouldn't make sharp turns on a dry or high traction surface in 4wd, causes driveline binding

Maybe traction control? Try holding ur traction control until it lits up Traction off? See if they does any help (be sure to hold down the traction control button for like 15 seconds) and it will comepletly turn off.

    Completely normal.

If the snow is very light, you most likely don't need to be on 4 WD in a flat parking lot. Disengage the 4 WD and then drive normally.

I know the owner's manual is many pages, but this situation is covered.

Hope this response does not sound offending, it's not meant to.

You should really do that alone, at home. :jerkoff:

WHen you turn your front wheels want to go slower than your rear wheels. AWD vehicals get around this by having a center differential. Our trucks, like most 4x4, do not have a center diff, so the front and rear are forced to drive at the same speed, which is where the driveline bind comes from, no biggie.

ALSO can someone make a sticky explaining that "Cut the wheel" is the dumbest phrase ever.

I know we've had a lot of fun with this recently, but honestly 'cut the wheel', 'cut right/left', etc are all normal phrases here in the northeast. Not that I use them on a regular basis, but they don't sound odd to me at all when I hear them either. Just sayin'....is this a regional thing?

It’s normal northeast and normal to anyone driving a vehicle that is bigger than a passenger vehicle as far as I’ve seen.

only people I've ever heard say it are from Saskatchewan, Manitoba or not prairies but Quebec/French Canadian haha.

Every time I go to the states to see my family and their friends always ask why we all say a boot...or don't speak french. Like its not something the whole country does for fuck sakes.
Unless its something different on the west coast for you guys?
