Is it possible to remove the headrests on a 2017 Access Cab rear seats?

you posted 4 pictures of the same thing. Im not sure what I am looking at. You might want to try to take off the back rests, and look to see if you can take the head rests off

Avatar states he doesn't own one yet so I don't know if he can take anything off he doesn't own.

Sorry about that! I deleted the (unrelated) photos. Same question applies though.

Yeah you can. It's not easy though. You have to take off the seat base (I'm pretty sure) then remove the back panel. Then they come off with four bolts each. You can put everything back together without them.

It's also possible just undo the three bolts holding the back panel on and then just bend the plastic back and you can get to them that way. Not the best method though. You'll probably lose a couple clips.

I am trying to recall the sequence... I removed mine the first week I owned the truck. I think you remove the lower seat, then the seat back panel, and that allows access to the headrest fasteners. Your mileage may vary...

Pulled mine out. You have to get a very thin cell-phone case opening tool, bought mine on ebay. Pull out the plastic pieces at the base of the headrests. Then the three plastic tabs on the top of the back panel must be popped out by inserting the tool along the bottom edge of the tabs. Once the tabs are out then remove the 3 bolts behind them. Once they are out you can pull the back panel out enough by pulling out the red clips of the top two rows. Have to be careful NOT to pull on the fabric covered portion of the back panel as it will break. I used a plastic tool with a 90 degree lip on each side. Once you get the clips popped out you can use a balled up rag to keep the space open enough to use a long 12mm open end wrench to loosen the 4 bolts on each headrest. Then you can get your hand in there to take out bolts and pull headrests out. It just takes some time. Bottom line is you don't need to completely remove the back panel, just need it pulled out enough to get access to the bolts. I also tied a string to the 12mm wrench so I would not drop it.

Missed saying that you don't need to remove the back seats.
