thats why I don;t want to use a holesaw haha.

I use them all the time at work but we just use them to make like a 1" hole then use a punch kit to make it bigger for a clean cut.

you have a 2nd gen thats the other thing.

the 3rd gen the cut is made right on one of the curves of the fender.

so hole saw would be hard to get right.

I'd rather not risk it. I appreciate the help but like I said to @Glueman and some of the guys I wheel with that have 2nd gens. the fenders are pretty different and where the cut goes is different hole saw isn't a good idea.

Jig saw all day. It's the only thing I ever use to cut sheet metal.

Drill a hole big enough for the blade and go for it.

guessing slow and steady, let the blade cut, minimal force all I need to do is guide it?

From what I understand the metal for the fender is really thin.
I'm used to cutting electrical boxes and what not so much heavier metal where you also need to push behind it lol.

I would not recommend by hand, if you have a dremel that'll work or just go to harbor freight and get the body panel electric saw. That's what I did and they sell fine tooth metal blades for it as well... worth the $30-35 to get it done right

I'm in Canada lol. We don't have harbor freight. And I looked at princess auto which is very similar. They only sell air ones

I could get an air body saw but my compressor can't keep up with the CFM needed.

Or I can look into it there's a harbor freight near my uncle's. I'll be in New York and New Jersey first weekend of November. Could always do install later

So I'm really diggin the snorkel vibe.. but HATE how the arb comes out the fender so far forward. Are there any other snorkel companies?
My ideal setup would come out of the intake under the fender... run the tube back (along the INSIDE the fender) and then pop out the hole and straight up the A pillar. Get rid of the unnecessary bulge all the way down of the ARB snorkel.
Does anything exist, or am I going to have to go full custom on this bitch...

    It appears so..

The ARB pipe along the outside of the fender doesn't need to be such an eye sore... If it was tucked under(which I have checked and there is ample room) it would look so much cleaner IMO
This is what I'm talking about(sorry for the crude Photoshop)

    Just use a damn jigsaw!

I've cut WRX's, BRZ's, and Tacomas. Never had a single issue. You don't need an air saw.

    Have you cut it yet!?

Part of my wants to try and get some mandrel bent aluminum and make a smaller one. The arb one is huge.

yes. On a black truck it's not that bad. But a contrast colored vehicle the thing sticks out like a sore thumb. I wouldn't mind seeing ONLY the vertical snorkel part running up the A-pillar

just grab one of the bosch blades, make sure its 24 or above if you go this route. This is what i used to do fenders and they were perfect. Cutting by hand is probably not so ideal

I used a fine metal blade on my electric jig saw. Make sure you tape up the fender good to prevent scratches. It cut my fenders like butter and made a. I've clean cut line.
