I did run a hot water hose connection at the house when I re-did the plumbing so that’s always an option. But if it doesn’t drain before it freezes that can suck.

Ah. Made it farther than the boston red sux, that's for sure. Not to mention the Yanks were the wildcard team, and the red sux were the division champs. But oh wll, there's always next year. That's the beauty about sports.

Was out and about yesterday with the 17yr old grandson ended up at Buster and Daves resturant and Video (in Manchester Ct) games we matched on one game killing Zombies and Mummy's he got a higher score I think because I kept seeing my X wife in the game and was consentrating to much on past memories.

Curious on what most of you do-

I have a set of Falken Wildpeaks (aggressive tread) and the stock set that came with the truck, Goodyear Wranglers (more road oriented tread)
Which ones do you guys typically run in the NE winter? A AT versus all season?

 

I have a set of winter specific tires, but ran the stock tires for a while year round. I would probably go with the more aggressive thread for the winter, with the logic that it would give you better traction?!

 

I’d assume so too- I forget the specific thread over in the animal house section (3rd Gen section) they mentioned something about the snow/ice getting lodged in the wider gaps of the tread virtually creating quarter mile “slicks” ... could be wrong, don’t recollect the complete arguement of people going back to stock tires in the winter

 

Interesting... I know my winter tires have a more "aggressive" thread than the stock/all season tires. Oh well.

Took a ride up to Cornwall yesterday.
Almost gridlock on 7 in New Milford with all the traffic. Guess everybody had the same idea.

 

I run dedicated studded snows on all 4 corners. Call me old school but when I learned to drive, everyone put snow tires on their cars. Personally, I prefer a more aggressive tread pattern for snows. My current set are General ArticMax and are 265/75-16. They tend to float a bit in the deeper stuff. In the past I've run cooper discovery M/Ts (studded) and they seemed to perform better on my former truck.

 

Don’t drive my Tacoma much during the weekday but I’m up in CT (Fairfield/Bridgeport) area every other weekend at the GFs house. Merritt is my stomping ground haha
