Its actually pretty common to to a MT front/LT rear setup....doing it the other way around would be odd but a MT front can handle semi high speeds fairly well, whereas a MT rear is usually what holds you back.

Things I've learned reading through the long travel BS thread anyway.

Yea I figured if the rear could outperform the front I'll be solid.

Not necessarily. Ideally you want more travel in the rear than the front. Depending on what kind of numbers he has out back it could be very well matched.

Hey guys any if you have any experience with cutting the bed/rear fender wells on a first gen? Just looking to talk to someone before I make my slice. I tried making a thread under the first gen section but not getting any bites. I'm trying to get this look no straight accross.

I really like the look you see a lot of silverados and pre runner trucks have. It's looks folded under at an angle almost looks like a triangle

I watched a 2nd gen bedside get cut for a high clearance bumper, never a 1st gen. I like the idea though! I also really like that look.

Use masking tape to mark your line, cut smoothly and take your time.

    Hey man! Its super easy.
First come at the desired angle (I use a piece of painters tape to keep the straight line. You can use a sawzall just be careful. I prefer a angle grinder with a 6" cutoff wheel. Under the beginning of the headlight stop the angle and go straight with the tailgate. Screenshot_2017-10-22-11-46-59.jpg

Damn, yeah those are for 05+. Got an appt tomorrow morning with a local muffler shop that came highly recommended, going to see what they can do for me price-wise. If it's reasonable I'm going to pull the trigger and get smogged while I'm there...that way even if they fail again in a short amount of time at least I'll have another 2 years to not have to worry about it lol. Stupid smog cert, gotta get it done and pass before January.

Toyota charges up the ass for cats. I know because my cousin pairs over a grand for each on his Camry

I just dropped my truck off this morning, lol. Thanks for looking out though guys. Found a place in Pasadena that someone here recommended that can install front/rear Magnaflows for $600 out the door, seemed like a fair deal and they can get it done for me today

I'd be worried buying used OEM cats because with unknown mileage, not knowing how burnt up they might be already.

yeah Toyota of Pasadena quoted me at $3600 for both, no fucking way I'm doing that lol
