    Yeah music. Idk really. She wants to work in music still...which limits her options a lot. Also considering going back to school. I think if she get a seasonal job at Tippet she could end up working here too if she wanted.

    Probably take anything that pays okay though at this point.

    Gotcha, we are in a similar position. As of now she has the part time job till may teleworking. After that she is deciding if she wants to get a phD or not. I told her she can live the biologist dream and take random seasonal jobs on the coolest projects in remote areas. We would be separated 6 months at a time but I love my job and I want her to love hers as well.

    If I have my way, we will get her in my office as the wildlife biologist in the next few years.

    Yeah same for me pretty much. Except there isn't much here in general. But i think it'll work out fine. Her biggest problem is patience and overthinking the situation. Freaks her out. Hopefully thats not the same problem for you haha Sounds like she could work there at some point. All about who you know. Are you pretty sure you'll get full time there now?

    Long story, speaking of who you know, but took a while. Got hired the last two summers as the seasonal recording engineer. Finally decided to hire me full time as they are starting to do more recordings in the off season. Plus tons of post production work.

    It will be interesting. There is a current wife/husband duo working in my office. The soon to be wildlife biologist most likely won't stick around more than a few years but you never know. A few forest service field offices nearby she can work in too.

    I still don't know. BLM is getting hit pretty hard with trumps budget and things are very tight right now. It would be dumb to not hire me because the current biologist will have to retire in the next 5 years (probably sooner).

    I contacted HR last week with questions about it and they haven't responded to me. My supervisor has been supportive and sees no reason why I wouldn't be hired. I don't trust the government though.

    Question for all the locals in WY:

    What tires do you find most effective when it's rains out there?

    I run general grabber at2's and got caught up on dirt roads after it rained in early October during a week long hunting trip. The local mud around Gillette just caked over the contact area, it was mud on mud traction...or lake there of. This was the first time in 3 years we actually saw ran out there and it put a beating on the truck. By next year I'll need new rubber anyways. Would be curious to know what you guys use to keep the truck out of the ditch.

    You can't really win with the mud out here. It's super glue due to high bentonite content.

    Even a mud terrain tire will struggle. But mud tires aren't good for a daily driver. So an aggressive all terrain will work well.
