So besides noise, what are the benefits to one of these, as our trucks already have a Cold Air Intake??? Just curious that's all

 

+5 HP / +6 lbs. x ft. Torque max gains, Outflows factory intake by 56%. is what it says for this intake of theirs. This is not only for intakes though

I had one on my old truck, never saw the claimed increases, and as for the filter they use, it allows fine partials of dust and sand to get past and into the engine, and like @Unchained 5150 said, the factory intake is a cold air intake

 

I did notice a slight MPG increase by about 1mpg after adding the intake (note I have a supercharger)

 

Bought mine back in the day then added a Volant air scoop

In short, the intake does provide a very small gain at the higher end of the RPM range, but does nothing on the lower end. In some cases it actually decreases low end power... Not sure an aftermarket intake would be beneficial for the daily driver.
