Any of you elk hunters planning to be in the Naches area this weekend? Well, I guess I'm technically closer to Bumping Lake. We set up camp up one of the roads just west of Whistling Jack's.

 

Took this video yesterday about halfway through that tow. It's called a suicide tow for a reason. The first rule is always keep the strap tight. So you ride your brakes. Brakes heat up a bit. So the second rule is that if you lose your brakes you run in to the back of the guy towing you. If you try to go around them it ends badly.

Yeah, I think most of us know him or know of him. Mule has done a hell of a job on that thing.

 

I know we have another member here with a 10.5 upper. Is yours ridiculously loud as well?

 

The term you're looking for is obnoxious. And yes, all 10.5s are like that.

 

Anyone have recommendations for a 4x4 shop in the south end, around enumclaw or ravensdale? Friend's son wants to lift his '09 Ram 1500.

 

I've heard good things about XO Fab in Enumclaw. Never been there, it's a bit far for me.

A buddy of mine has one of the Zastava AK pistols with the 10" barrel on it. Even with a can on it that thing is louder than my 16" .300BLK. I'm pretty sure it's just the nature of the short barrels.

I have another buddy with a .308 FAL pistol but I've never had a chance to shoot it, I'm sure it is exceptionally louder than all of the above.

I don't have a can on my zastava.... But it's fucking loud I can tell you that

 

Yup. I am sure my popping a bead was a fluke, but with snow wheeling (hopefully) on the horizon, I need to be able to air down a lot farther than 16psi.

 

I'm a big fan of the flame ball it throws out unsupressed

Yup the 223 short barrels are loud. But its also a caliber not really designed for shorter barrels. Still fun though!
