Lol someone juuuuust made a thread asking about easy trails in WA. I have some Jeep trail forum links bookmarked on my computer but I'm just on my phone.

Give the search bar a whirl or check out the Northwest section of the regional part of TW and you can probably find some good threads/posts pointing you in the right direction

No worries. The little magnifying glass at the top right, keywords you're searching for and I usually click it to search a specific forum I think will pertain to my question... that usually helps, and if not I bug the helpful community that is TW

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
Don't know much about central Washington, but two around me are Evens Creek and the Naches Trail. Both are on Forest Service. There is also Elbe Hills on DNR lands.

    Hardcore off road floor mats!
Go pick yourself up a forest road map from a ranger station. They'll be several different maps depending on which location you wanna go to. I got one for $10, very detailed

Yes, as mentioned, go to a forestry office or something like that and get paper maps of all forest service roads. They list trails for offroading. I just moved to Spokane Valley 2 months ago and have been highlighting all the trails I've gone on. Offroading too much I think haha

So I'm a new, (got an 07 TRD offroad) Tacoma owner as of earlier this year, & I gotta say; I love my truck! I've never been trailing or off roading & want to start with some simple & safe trails for now. - mostly because I'll be going solo for a while until I learn my truck & do some mods. I live in WA state in South Pierce County area & was wondering if anyone knows where I can go, (that isn't hours away), on some dirt trails that are pretty local & good for someone just starting out? -And where I won't get in trouble with my truck or the law. I'd really appreciate any info on this as I've been itching since I got my Tacoma.

Hey I'm not familiar with the area but I'm a bit north of you in WA and am getting ready to start offroading more as my 4runner is almost ready!!! (too scared to ding my tacoma... ). Up around here, the local off-road shop leads a group trail run and from that there have spawned a few instagram/facebook circles who are open to new rigs/people of all experience levels and go pretty regularly. Maybe there is something similar in your area. I was initially hoping to be going solo like you intend but I've convinced myself that it will be safer and more enjoyable to have some guidance/support on the trail if/when I need it.

I've been given the advice of never going it alone when you're doing real off-roading/rock crawling but if you're planning on going solo they say it's perfectly fine to do any "overlanding" type trails as those tend to be pretty accessible.

If there are any old logging roads around you those might be a good trail to start off as long as you stay conservative and safe. I'm just starting out as well and no expert my any means but thought I'd give a reply! Congrats on the new rig! Have fun :D

Hey man, really appreciate the info! Looks like I'll have to go the route you suggested because I don't even have a clue to where logs trails are in my area lol. Have fun, be smart & be safe
