I opted to get the escaper buddy boards last year since I never really go all-out on the trail. That said, I was stuck in the snow last week and had trouble mounting the boards and I was looking for a way to add some grip to the ramp section. I know other boards have taller tabs throughout, so I thought of just adding some wingnuts with a large washer on the back (to prevent pull through). Now I'm wondering if I risk tire puncture (see photo). The smaller nuts are 5/16 and the larger are 3/8. I'm sure I've driven on gravel with more aggressive rock, but I really don't have a good idea of tire durability in general.

Curious what others may think seeing these mounted.
