Finally swapped out my CVs because the inner boots finally gave out. I ordered a set of boots from SDHQ or whatever the company is, but now I need to source the grease for the inner and outer joint. I am looking to keep my OEM axles with my rig just in case as I know that they're stronger than replacements.

Every time I got to a parts store the boots are either universal ones and/or they're missing the bands or grease. Short of ordering all the bands and boots from Rock Auto, is there any place that I can order a full kit to reboot the axles?

Actually if you have OEM axles the dealer-stealer has a kit for the CVs that consists of 2 OEM boots and the moly grease and the special clamps. My advise is to stay far far away from aftermarket boots because you don't know what you are getting and most are total junk so you might have to do the job a few times when the boots split out in short order, yuk, or you might be the rare one who gets lucky If you want the kit number post back.

I may have to stop by the dealer and see if they have some. I need some crush washers to do gear oil swaps anyway.

I believe CVJ has a boot designed for lifted trucks.
