installed the ARB Safari snorkel yesterday. If you use the template that comes with the snorkel the holes will line up perfectly. The cutting part was not as easy but if you take your time and not rush things you will be fine. Drilled 60mm holes for the set screws and it worked fine.
If you have ditch lights. Unmount them and the bracket mount. The snorkel will not fit with it on. Well atleast mine didnt.
I used toyota touch up paint from autozone after the cutting and drilling holes to prevent rust.
For the top part of snorkel the instructions say to drill 3 holes into the A pillar. I did not do this. I used some real strong 3M outdoor Tape and its on there pretty damn solid. For the offroading im doing im not worried.

After everything it fits perfectly and mounted the ditch lights and that fits but barely. Im happy with it.

Yeah after the first 4.5" hole, I just started sending it on every hole after that lol. The drill silences out your truck's screams for help pretty good. I also had issues with the CBI ditch bracket hitting the Snorkel. Took the bracket off and dremeled off maybe a half inch and then re installed and it clears perfectly now.

Icom IC-706MKIIG UHF/VHF/HF radio,KC Hilites 20" Flex Bar and ditch lights, Safari snorkel, BedSlide Classic, SnoMaster USA expedition series fridge.
Just for reference for anyone that reads this. There is some adjustment in the CBI ditch light brackets. That's what I'm running on mine, and there was no
notching needed on the bracket. Just needed to loosen up the hood bolts, and adjust for clearance, then re-tighten.

***Assumed you were discussing a 3rd gen in this thread, I can't speak to clearance of a 2nd Gen.***

Didn't even notice this was in the 3rd gen section ... :anonymous: Yeah I have a 2nd gen and it seems other guys have had the same issue. My brackets didn't even match up with the holes 100% when I first installed them, good to hear the 3rd gen seems to have some better design to them.

I salute all those who drilled into the truck to add the snorkel. They are braver than me. I like it but I won’t drill into the truck.

Can you install the ARB snorkel if you have the TRD air intake or does it only work with the stock air intake? Tanks,

Drill holes just big enough for the screws do nto use the inserts. deburr the holes, wet install with silicone. No leaks, no rust and a secure install.

LOL you mean like what Land Rover has done for years? Mantec made them for Land Rover. I've got one and they are the tits. Steel and fit like they belong. I hate the plastic tacked on look like the Safari but that's all that is available. There may be room issues behind the fender, I do not know I have not dug into this truck yet
