Let’s hope. Going to rely on someone’s swr meter though. I hope the antenna isn’t the problem And it’s just the radio

I'm completely new to CB radios so I can't compare it to anything but it seems like a good basic radio and it's fairly small. It's still not tuned, I don't have a meter, but it's picked up several conversations over the last couple days.

I can’t make the trip this weekend. Some fubar shit at work I need to finish up. Some subs really dropped the ball and left me and the rest of the crew up there to clean up their mess... anyway. It pushed other work I have back, that has a crunch, and needs to be done this weekend. If by some miracle I can get this railing finished, as well as get my truck safe to drive on the highway, I’ll see y’all there. Sorry I can’t make this one. I promise I will try to make it if I can.

Here is what your mount should look like... should have the plastic insulator on top of the mounting surface. also with that mount, there is a plastic insulator on the socket screw that comes in from the bottom. last thing to remember is if your surface on the bottom has paint, or powder coat on it, you'll need to sand that away to get a good ground.
