So I bought a 2006 trdor double cab prerunner almost a month ago, and I’m wondering what should be replaced or maintained. The truck has a whopping 172,000 miles on it.

We’re scheduling a vehicle check at the local ford dealership that we’ve never had problems with (my family has always owned fords and I’m the one who decided to get a Toyota lol). I would like to know some good advice on things to replace/upgrade from actual Toyota owners.

I got mine with 183k on the clock and now has 191k and without a doubt check the cabin air filter ( so the A/C will blow colder and the heat wont stink) make sure you check for worn seals and bushings in the front end, just replaced a #6 coilpack on my 4.0 due to misfire....definitely a tune up ( unless its been done and have receipts) have the rear diff fluid checked and enjoy having the truck...looks good

Rear leaf suspension. Home done tailgate re-inforcement.
If it is auto trans, drain a little fluid on a paper towel and see the condition of it. Less than a red/pink, consider a change. A full flush is debatable at your mileage.

Brake fluid, power steering fluid, differential fluid serpentine belt, mass air flow cleaning and brake fluid are a good start.
