6.5 Creedmoor is in every way superior to the .308, its a bit more of an expensive round but I've been a hunter since I was 6 and I made the switch to it and have since been selling off all of my other calibers (.270,.308,7mm mag, 30-06, etc.). No reason for anything else after seeing first hand what it does.

It's a bolt gun round (though you can do AR's in it). Stick to .308 for paper punching with a semi auto.

I didn’t mean there weren’t better calibers. Just for a beginner the creedmoor world could be a little overwhelming.

Only if you're trying to dig into handloads, which I don't mess with.

I don’t want to get into a creedmoor-.308 contest. I realize there is no contest. I just know for someone just getting into the game it can be hard. And good luck getting creedmoor at Wally World. I’m just trying to make things easier for someone just starting out.

It was very sketchy to drive in; can't imagine on an interstate! Long pine needles everywhere on/in/under my truck. My back yard got trashed.

@ahspurlock hate to bug you with another question but looking at a 2004 4Runner V6, 4wd with 105, 000 miles on it. Tow package and sunroof and this is from a very honest dealer who been in this area for years. Clean CarFax, one owner and can get it for 7000.00. My concern is should I be worried about the head gaskets ? Read some had issues from 2004 to sometime in 2006 and the price to fix is crazy, 2200.00 to 2600.00 from what I have been reading. It does come with 90 day, 4000 mile warr. but I am worried about 100 days and 5000 miles, lol. Thanks for your help AGAIN !

Yea I haven't heard to much about the head gaskets other then the 05s in 06+ they had fixed them but you if it is using coolant then it's blown so you can just put a bottle of blue devil in it and that'll fix it . That's what we did to @SGTCap 05 tacoma and it fixed it

Gotcha and thank you for your help. I probably misread because I thought it was 04 to early 06. Started it cold this morning and no exhust smoke and no coolant leak odor from exhaust cold or warm. Thanks again man !
