Aloha Everyone. I have (or will have shortly) a 1999 Tacoma, 4x4 extra cab v6 with 5-star 16" 4Runner wheels (4.625" backspacing). I'm installing the 3-clip D558 Bilstein 5100s on the front, which will be set at the middle 1.25" lift clip. I'm also installing a small 1/2" rear block.

The 275/70R16 KO2 tire measures 31.1" x 11.0" according to published specs. This makes it only 0.5" taller and 0.3" wider than the stock 265/70R16 size that came with this truck. It's also 0.5" shorter (but 0.5" narrower) than what seems to be the most popular step-up tire size (265/75R16).

The reason for picking this seemingly oddball size is that I wanted a tire that is both slightly taller and slightly wider than the tire size that originally came on the truck.

My question is, with my planned setup, could I fit the 275/70R16 tire without rubbing? If no, then would the rubbing require significant modifications?

After searching, this didn't seem to be a popular size on the forums, so I thought I would just start a new thread. Apologies in advance if it was already addressed and I missed it.

You should be fine with that size. I doubt you'll have much rubbing if any. If it were me i would run the 265/75/16. You're gonna notice the height of the tire more than the width with a lift. 31s tend to start looking a lil small when you lift. Plus with k02s in the size you want they're like over 230 a tire :der:

Thanks whitetaco01. Took your advice and went with the 265/75R16.
