It is time to let my 2013 Forest Fog GearUp go. It has 35,300km (21,934mi) on the odometer. Asking $6,900.00. No trades as the Taco is replacement.

    Modifications and Features:
    Heated grips with HeatTroller control
    Russel Day Long seat
    Sidecar windshield
Custom welded plate on rear rack for a bicycle fork mount (see pics)
    2015+ upgraded starter
    Passenger pegs
Hand guards (CycleGear mounts with trimmed to fit old-school Ural covers)
    Manual fuel petcock upgrade
    Hella horn upgrade
New / unused set of Hippo Hands
Extra standard-size power outlet in sidecar (original BMW-style still installed)
Battery Tender pigtail on motorcycle side
    LED speedometer lights with extras
Shortened motorcycle side turn signal stalks
Matte finish metal grid headlight and spotlight guards
    H4 headlight
Custom fit tonneau cover made from Sunbrella fabric
Leftka airbox with Moto Guzzi K&N filter
K&N breather filter (can include extra fence post material if wanted)
132 main jets and shimmed needles
    LED trunk light
Rebuilt motor at 26,300km due to factory crank flaw and improperly installed wrist pin retainers
    Crossover pipe delete
    Cat pipe removal
Full service including new plugs and all three u-joints at 35,000k
    Rebuilt FD at 35,300km
710 gas can cap with vent and custom filler extension on another cap
Rubber seal washers on oil pan, GB drain, and FD with two spares
    Raceway ignition cover
3D printed license plate bracket (see pics)
    Two full sets of keys
Probably a few more things that I forgot

    Extras:
Spare fastener bag and removed original parts
    Four oil filters
    Spare oil filter top hat
Bag of McMaster Carr oil filter cover o-rings
    Six new rim strips
    New spare tire tube
Spare long and short spokes (only one broken long spoke ever found)
    New Jaing Chang clutch plates
    Original tractor seat
    Homemade spare tire cover
    Fitted 2x4 jack
    Bottle jack
    Used / spare doughnut coupler
    Gunson Colortune
Sidecar seat belt (mounts installed and belt in a bag)
Can include 8ft long conduit for alignment checks
    And more

    Truth in advertising:
I do all my own maintenance. I used a combination of either M1 15w-50 or Rotella T6 in the motor and GB and synthetic 80w-90 in the FD.

Regarding motor rebuild, it has been a couple years (rebuilt in December 2015 / January 2016) and about 9,000km since. IMO, it runs better now and uses almost no oil. I only check it once between services. The factory build used a quart of oil every 1,500km.

On May 19, 2016, I was in a minor Not at Fault accident. A car pulled out from a parking lot and just stopped in the lane. I glanced off of the left rear door and did not come off of the bike. After getting a police report, I was able to limp the bike home about one mile or so. Pacific Northwest Motorcycles in Ferndale, WA did all of the work to repair it to my satisfaction. This included new forks, tank, headlight mount pieces, front brake line, front axle, front shocks, front rim, front fender, and front grab handle.

No test rides without cash in hand. Also, to ride on the roads, WA requires a three wheel endorsement. I can allow parking lot rides without an endorsement.

If you have any questions or interest, please let me know.

    Thanks!

There's a term for the cool factor of these things: Ural Delay Factor (UDF). It is the amount of time you spend talking to folks about the bike, esp store parking lots. You have to add at least 5min for any stop you make on a grocery run.

They rolled in the front disk in 2003. It is a Brembo four pot caliper (32mm / 34mm). The disk is not Brembo but works very well. This change means that the spare can still work on any wheel, but for the front, in a dire situation, you need to remove / disable the caliper.

Interestingly, the caliper is the same one as ones my Ducati ST4, but it is installed backwards on the Ural. Crazy Russians.

Sorry, but I don't get this one?

    Hey, Folks.

I got a call from Ural Portland. They said that they were getting calls about my bike though it has never been there.

The accident repairs were done at Pacific Northwest Motorcycles in Ferndale, WA. All other work and maintenance was done by me.

    Have a good one.

Congratulations. I'm sure someone is very excited to have that rig. I was interested, but my cousin would have killed me if I hadn't bought her husbands rig.

    Thanks!

The new buyer is excited. It was good for both of us.

No problem. Enjoy that rig. Sidecars are just a hoot to ride on or in!

    Cool bike.
I've considered getting one. Altho I'm not really that familiar with them. How are they in the reliability department?

    FYI.....
I’m not a pro on this but my neighbor has one and he said that thing is unstoppable. He said he was watching the news on a bad winter storm (snow)here in the blue ridge mountains and the reporter was telling people to stay inside till after the county had time to clear the roads and one of these drove by in the background . That’s the reason he bought his.

And I believe the story of adding 5-10 minutes to any store run. :bikewhoops:

One of the guys at the end of my street has one of these .
Seems like the only time he does drive the bike is during snowstorms and if that isnt funny enough , his 3 dogs ride in the side car and they all have doggles sunglasses .

I will post a picture the next time I see him out on the bike . It,s hilarious

Thought that was the reason to have a side car......a dog in doggles riding shot gun.

As a commuter, not at all. They just aren't made for daily work. As a weekend putter machine for grocery runs and such, they can do that.

Yeah. The 2wd ones are ungodly good in snow and mud.

1st is way too high for climbing trails. It desperately needs re-geared or a low range. The chassis is solid and strong. The driveline esp the clutch design could use strengthening and serious QA.

Ural Delay Factor (UDF) is very real. It never got old for me. Folks that I was going to meet would sometimes get annoyed by the delay.

    Endless low speed fun.
