My dilemma, bought a new 3rd Gen Tacoma, love my first Gen. though. Should I sell it or not? 377878_2695195537038_1993926724_n.jpg Excellent truck with under 157,000 miles and no accidents or damage, owned it for 14 years and could run it another 14+ years.

In case this turns into an actual For Sale Thread you might want to read these first as your post will get deleted, and then you will know why.

    SELLERS RULES
    1. You must have a minimum 50 posts (legitimate posts, no spamming the Off Topic) before you may place an ad in the B/S/T section. If you place an ad here without the prerequisite 50 posts, your ad will be deleted.
    2. If you post a for sale thread, please be sure you are interacting with our TacomaWorld community. If you meet the minimum post requirements, but your posts consists along the verbiage of "lol", "idk" in attempt to be insidious to meet the post requirement, your account privileges will be revoked at staffs discretion. This is not your personal Craigslist.

    3. The subject-line of your post must be a description/name of what you're selling
    4. You must include a price for the item. If you aren't sure, put down a number and add "OBO" after it (Or Best Offer)
    5. You must include a picture of the item you're selling. It must be the actual item, not a manufacturer stock photo. It can be attached to the post, or embedded from other sites, such as photobucket. The item MUST be available for sale at time of posting. If its on a vehicle, make sure its removed. If you want to sell something, and its still on the vehicle, then you can make a thread after its removed, and ready for sale.
    6. For local-pickup or regional sales, you must include your city in the post and specify that it's a local-pickup or regional sale
    7. Specify the model year that the parts you're selling are made for
    8. When naming a price, take into account any fees that PayPal may charge you (under "Receiving purchase payments")
    9. If you are selling the item on an auction or classified site, you may link to the sale from your post-BUT YOU MUST still include a picture in the post.
    10. When the item you're selling is no longer for sale, please indicate so by replying to your sales thread. This helps avoid confusion among people seeing your post.
    11. Sellers may bump their threads only once a day (please remove previous bump)
    12. Carfax reports are not allowed to be sold via Tacomaworld
    13. Please do not make multiple threads for the same items
    14. In order to offer lighting products for sale (as a business, not an individual selling parts from their vehicle), sellers must be on the official Tacoma World vendor list. This is due to overwhelming number of light vendors appearing on the site.

    BUYERS
    1. If you're making a willing-to-buy post, it must have WTB: in the subject, followed by the item you're looking to buy

DO NOT BASH for sale threads in what you think is a good price to sell an item. PM the OP and give them a suggestion. You have been warned and action will be take action if this happens

DO NOT post for-sale threads that are not complete. Photos are part of the deal, so don't start a thread until you have them ready. If you do not post a complete thread, it will be nuked. Statements such as "My dog ate my camera" or "Photos when I get home tonight" are not good substitutes for photos.

OP, I'm curious what made you pull the trigger on a new truck when it seems your current Taco is in fine shape? I'm really asking because I was daaaamn close to doing the same thing, but somehow managed to resist temptation. Probably due to all of the things I've read in the 3rd gen section. If the 2018s seem to do well, I may yet upgrade, but my truck is freaking bulletproof, and also an 01.

I was just ready for a change after owning the same vehicle for 14 years. I love my 3rd Gen, all the bells and whistles this time, I do have a little regret, but I’m good with my decision.

Keep it! You'll need something to drive when your 3rd gen is sitting at the dealership awaiting the 3 million TSB's it will need.

I'm selling my first gen right now also and I know I will regret it when it's gone. I get attached to my toyota trucks but one only has so much room to store them lol. Good thing I don't have several acres or I would be the guy who hordes them and cant part with anything.

what kind of lift you did ? issues aligning the actual set up ? diff drop and etc mods ? just curious, I'm not fan of lifting a vehicle since to much little additional staff to adjust...... you should keep it for off road only , and the new one will be mall crawler and long distances:cheers: or just leave if for someone in your family
