Changing front/rear Diff, Transfer Case and Manual Trans Gear Oil. How many Quarts do I need?

This weekend seems like a great time to get dirty. About to change the gear oil in all four places; Trans, Diffs (x2) and Transfer Case. Before I pull the trigger on this

$16 Mobil 1 104361-UNIT 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube - 1 Quart

Mobil 1 gear oil, how many quarts do I need in total?

$50 Mobil Synthetic, SAE Grade : 75W-90, 1 gal. Jug 122035-1 Each

Mobil 1 Delvac Gallon (4 quarts) seems to be a better "buy." Any thoughts against using the Delvac?

 

Found this out for anyone who comes across this thread in the future.

Engine Oil: 4wd With filter 5.5 qts Without filter 5.2 qts Dry Fill 6.2 qts

Transmission: 5VZ-FE w/ 5 speed = 2.3 qts (but just fill until it comes out of the fill hole).

Diffs:
Front: 1.22 qts
Rear w/o Diff Lock: 2.69 qts
Rear w/Diff Lock: 3.18 qts

For the transfer case, just fill until it starts spilling out. I'm guessing around 1.5 qts?

Phew, that's 8.3 qts.

I've heard really good things about Amsoil full synthetic and severe gear... it's kinda $$ but that's my plan when I get around to it.

 

take the fill plugs out first... if you dump it and cant get the fill plugs out... On the aluminum cases dont over tighten the fill plug, it is tapered and there is the possibility of spliting the case, stripping the head or ...

 

For the love of god do not reference the manual for gear oil quantities. There is a major typo for the 5 speed tranny... it says something absurd like 2.something quarts. It easily takes double that after draining. Sure, follow the manual for other stuff but I would buy 1 or two more quarts just in case.

I always filled the diffs and t-case until oil came out. Don't use Delvac 1 in them, that's engine oil. Diesel engine oil to be specific.
