Just bought a 2017 Tacoma. Was happy to finally have bluetooth capability, only to find out my phone is not compatible. It's a LG L62VL. Any suggestions, aside from buying a new phone?

    What makes it "not compatible"?

I have a galaxy note 4 and have constant Bluetooth issues. I'm planning to get a new phone soon anyways so hopefully my next choice will work better. Good luck!

Yes, Im not sure why they dont make it so it updates like a phone or laptop, but the files are only accessible by dealer. Plus if it bricks the stereo you get a new one if theres a problem!

Bluetooth on these trucks suck. I had constant issue with LG V20 so I switched to my work phone (Apple) and am constantly having to disconnect and reconnect to get it to work, basically no better r worse than the LG. Sometimes it will read text messages sometimes it wont, I also was very disappointed.

But thats the only complaint I have about the truck thus far with 5k miles on her.
