Looking at changing the stock tires I have on now to something bigger. Looking to see what AZ people run that works well. Right now the only trails I have done are back way to CK and some tame trails in the Florence area. Only time I really hit any mud is during hunting season in unit 10.

Plan on keeping the stock rims for now as funds are low after the suspension and armor. So is anyone running 255/85/r16? Or do most just go with 285/75 and do the body mount chop?

I've been thinking of going with the 255/85/16 muds on my 2000 4runner, but the 265/75/16 Cooper Atp work great. 85% city, 15%dirt. Been back way to Ck 4 times, all over Florence, Rolls, ect.
My 96 Tacoma is on 33x12.5x15 muds and is long travel. Definitely rolls over road irregularities with ease compared to runner.
Bigger is better if you can fit/afford it.

I'm running 285s on 17" wheels and love them! Still need to do a tiny bit of trimming but other than that it's great. I'm running wildpeak at3w and they are the best tires I've ever owned..have to say even over my grabbers!

I'm running 255/85/16s, Dick Cepek Extreme Country tires. I've been happy with them so far. Did a little wheeling up in Sedona last weekend, and they handled the rocks very well. I lowered pressures to around 20 psi, and they gripped well. Haven't done much else offroad with them, but I like them. The Dick Cepeks are lighter than the Coopers by about 10 lbs each.

Same. Wildpeak AT3’s FTW, and I’ve ran through a lot of tires on my trucks.

16 inch wheel? If so I think I would go 295/75r16 choices are limited but Toyo AT2 in that size is great.

17 inch wheel I would go with 285/75r17 tire.

    Thanks for the recommendations.
I am running the stock 16 inch wheels. Eventually will get new rims but cash flow is limited so want to stick with current ones. My other car, which is the DD, needs new tires too! I need to start playing the lottery or find that sugar mama fast!
