Well, my truck is Supercharged, regeared, pushing 35s, and over 6,000 lbs. My range won't matter for most.

If I pump out as much fuel as the aux pump will pick up, I can put about 13 gallons in the tank if I fill it up completely.

So, depending on how full you'd want to fill the tank, and how close to empty you want to pump it down while moving, You can add 10-12 gallons x whatever your average fuel mileage is to figure your added range.

I highly suggest an in cab fuel gauge for the aux tank. You can't hear the aux pump while moving. The factory gauge takes a long time to register when doing the transfer. Without an aux gauge you have no way to tell if the pump is sucking air at the end.
