I think the only exhaust leak left is the small one from my WG not completely seating 100% closed, but its super small, as shown by my condom test video. but that spool is startin at like 2800 now and it was 3100-3200 before, I'm really ok with that unloaded, yeah 2500 would be even better since I usually only run 2000-2100 rpms cruising on the interstate so basically anything more than that I would start spoolin but, its very acceptable now, and puts a smile on my face to hear that high pitch

 

I’d that a v band as well or 2 bolt flange?

 

it is a vband but that isn't where it leaks, it actually comes out of the WG a little bit because the fire ring is just a touch too long or something so the valve doesn't close 100%

 

Which brand wastegate again? Some brands have replacement parts.

 

i think it came from speed daddys, but its a tial clone, you think that tial parts might fit?

Depending on the "quality" of the clone, (basically its tolerances) a new valve of the cloned model, might do the trick. Might have to get a diaphragm as well. Start with the valve.

I believe that www.extremepsi.com sells TiAL replacement parts.

That leak at idle will be worse as the loaded( increased engine load) gasses start flowing. As in valve creep. So clearing that up could bet you a few hundred more rpm in boost threshold reduction.

Chinese haven't figured out how to machine a good valve seat. Could try some of that valve grinding compound if you can pull apart and spin your valve.

Only reason why my cheap BOV doesn't leak is because they used an o-ring to face seal the valve shut.

 

Are u sayin use like lapping compound on the valve or the valve seat ring thing? I have some compound i bout for recrowning a mosin nagant barrel so i may give it a try

 

exactly something to help reshape the material to seal up nicely. I'm sure whatever gun stuff you have that is abrasive is like this.
