Cruise Control Help Please and Thank You

Hey there guys I'm new to the Tacoma world and just bought my first one. It's a 2008 Tacoma Double Cab V6 with 6 speed Manual. It's the base model and comes with no badass stuff such as cruise control so i took it upon myself to try and add it after reading some threads. I got the stalk installed and checked to see if it was pre wired wich it looks to be. The light on the dash comes on but the cruise will not engage. I read something about the clutch cancel switch which my truck has. Is the stock clutch switch the same as the one needed? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Check out the rostra website for clutch cancel switch wiring. I added cruise to my daughters ‘13 Regular cab.

 

So I'm guessing Hardscrabble that this is a different switch all together then the clutch cancel switch that comes stock with the pickup?
