They only sell 1 new part, the rest are remans. With something like a ps pump I’d rather go oem. Never heard of anyone getting a good one (that wasn’t oem) first go around

Gotcha. I got my rack and pinion from them that was a reman OEM, and have had it in for about 6 months now. Runs great and saved me a few hundred bucks. Just something to think about.

I believe it was OEM, but I could be wrong. It was A-1 Cardone, with a p/n of 262629 (26-2629). It looked identical to the one I pulled out, including stamps in the metal on the side of it.

Exactly the same as the original:

Keep in mine the p/n I posted is for a rack and pinion, not a power steering pump. You'll be severely disappointed if you get it :D

Nope! Just the steering rack. If the pump is by the same people I would trust it though.

That is strange. I had to pull off my rack b/c it was leaking. Had to use the wrong kind of ATF in the middle of nowhere, ran it dry. I guess I got lucky as I fixed the leak, put a filter on the return line, filled it a couple times as driving and it was fine. I only lose power when the fluid was too low.

You would need a gauge to test the PS pump to see if it is putting out sufficient pressure or not, simply flowing doesn't tell you that it's working.
