I installed some procomp led in my new CBI bumper, but I found out when I turn on the FM radio most channels become static sounding but as soon as I turn them off all is fine. Any thoughts how I am getting feed back in my radio. Doesn't do this with the CD or Bluetooth.

LED lighting can cause radio static, I had the same issue with a set of expensive PIAA leds. I contacted PIAA tech they said to use ferrite couplers around the wires to help eliminate the static, I got them from Radio Shack very inexpensive but they did nothing to eliminate the FM static at all. now I mostly listen to music loaded to a USB chip and not use the radio at all and live with it.

Not surprising. LEDs use PWM in the driver and EMI testing of them probably goes from half assed to never done. Technically speaking anything that generates RF (any frequency above 3KHz) must comply with FCC Part 15.

Fixing it depends on how it's coupling onto the radio. If it's via the antenna normally there's not much but that's not likely. You need to look for wiring that is close to both the LEDs and radio, perhaps you inadvertently ran power close to the radio or something. If you can't find something in the LED or truck wiring then you may need to consider filtering, the new LED wiring is coupling the noise and acting like a radiating antenna.

I am using the factory wiring for the fogs. I just sodered the positive and negative. I just did a test and with one connected I get less affect on the radio but it is still there. I thought maybe the antenna ran close to the wires but that is not the case at all.

I think I may have to use Spotify or Amazon. Good thing is I don't use these often, but that is crap that they affect the radio.

The factory didn't anticipate LED, the OE fogs were halogen. So they likely bundled wires without worrying about interference. You could just run your own wiring.

After the information you both gave me, I have my answer. But in my case I can live with it because I am not one that runs with them on. They are too bright and I hate when parking lot 4x4's run bright LED's myself. I just need them when hunting at night. Again I thank you for the information so I have an answer now.
