Just putting some feelers out there. Does anyone know of any short term/cash jobs in the area? I have been in the IT field for the last four years in the Navy. Before that, a Wildland firefighter and restaurant cook. Just looking for something short term to hold me over until school starts in January. I am not to picky on the type of work, am a fast learner, and not afraid to get dirty. I just need something to pay the bills. Any leads and information would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: The ideal job would be something entry in a hospital in the area. I will have my EMT-B by June and I want to work full time as a ER-Tech while in nursing school. If they had a position I could work for a <6months then transfer over to a tech job, it would be perfect!

Where are you going to school, what areas are you looking to live? I know South Metro fire department is actively hiring right now, not sure how short term that will be. What sort of IT background do you have? I am in IT sales for data collection hardware and know a LOT of our customer's IT departments.

Going to Aurora community college and UC Denver for nursing school. I am planning to live in the Green valley Ranch area for a few months while I search for a house to buy. I have been a Network and systems administrator and also a Help-desk Supervisor. I have a TS/SCI clearance and a poly, A+ and SEC+. I do not want to get into a long term commitment as an IT though as my passion lies in nursing and I will be starting school and that will take up most of my time. @COVERLAND

If you are only seeking temp employment our building season is longer than most and landscaping goes on well into December if not longer. If you are handy there are tons of handyman style jobs around waiting for help you could fill, otherwise if you want to hustle just sign up for lyft/uber and you can make a grip in a hurry if you work it. Especially in Aurora near the airport.

DOT is always looking for plow truck drivers.

Any reason not to post this in your 2 other "moving to CO" threads on the front page? :luvya:
