With Black Friday a month away, opinions on rear swing out.

    Savage.
Pros: dual swing out, better ground clearance, like latch mechanism more

I hate the holes on the side of the savage otherwise I love it. I bet the savage is a little lighter than the 4x but who cares about weight.
As far as build quality I’ve never had issues with any of my savage stuff
    Both are solid options

I am sure you can get it without the holes. Roy is a very easy person to work with

I like the dual swing out option. And with half the weight per swing out, hopefully half the wear. Dual swing outs reduces the room you need behind you to open which is huge to me. At school, I have to parallel park, and on surf trips, a lot of time it’s bumper to bumper parking on the side of the highway.

You can’t, I’ve asked. He’s got the holes in his plasma cutter profile and I believe he has to outsource for cutting so it’s too difficult. I even offered to pay for the inconvenience, but nope, holes are there.

I’m split on jerry cans vs. rotopax. Jerry cans are definitely cheaper, but I can lock the rotopax easier and without fab work. Never really needed more fuel but the added 5 gallons of gas plus 5 gallons of water wouldn’t hurt

Is it in yet? If so,
    :worthless:

And, if there’s one thing you’d change about your Savage bumper or one thing you’re not thrilled about, what would it be?
How are the gas struts that assist with opening/keeping it open?

When do we get to see this?

Only problem I’ve had with my scepter cans is they seal too tight with no vent but I got a handle tool for that and they empty quick into the tank with the internal vent.

Not exactly legal but I’ve never had an issue even in ca

How do you like your waterport? Been thinking about one for spraying sand off and cleaning out wetsuits

for not having them up front, i was real happy with my landings with just the coilover. The rear did amazing as well.

Excuse my ignorance here but why wouldn’t you want digressive valving if you’re doing go fast stuff? Or does it come down to the reported internal tolerances tested?

Don’t mean to start another Icon vs. the World debate, just curious. To me, I’d make sense to run digressive valving so it’s softer when faster.

more control at higher speeds, i personally wouldnt want my shocks to get soft and sloppy.

This was smooth all the way through though.

I loved my 5100s also. Great shocks and they look like they cost a lot more than they do.
