Ooops - Mobtown has THREE types of mounting. This is a quote from the Mobtown website:

Mobtown sliders are attached with three methods:

    1. 3/8″ Grade 8 bolts through the frame
    2. Mobtown C-Clamp which boxes in the frame rail
    3. BeamClamp® engineered clamps provide additional attachment for the most stressed edge
Also: Mobtown lists their sliders (with no top or filler plate) at 140 pounds; I wrote 150 in my spreadsheet. I wouldn't have made that up, so either it was a typo (sorry!), or I called Mobtown and that was what they told me. There have been some discrepancies between weights reported by vendors over the phone, and what is listed on their websites. For example, the RCI website lists their sliders at 56 pounds each, or 112 pounds total, but they told me on the phone that the total is more like 120 pounds. There is nothing shady going on, I just think products can change and websites are not updated, etc.

All sliders will flex a minimal amount whether they're bolt on, weld on and doesn't matter who makes them. Steel flexes, it's just it's nature. The chassis too will flex a very little bit.

How much lighter are your weld one with no kick out vs the same in bolt on?

Plenty mods on many vehicles since 1982. Current: 15 Tacoma 4X4 V6 TRD OR Access Cab Pyrite Mica- Icon full stage 7, All-Pro APEX sliders & rear Expedition Springs + custom Tampa Springs leaf spring upgrades, Timbren bump stops, u-bolt flip, Road Armor front stealth winch bumper & rear steel, Warn Vr 8000, Nitto Terra Grappler 285/75/r16, Off Grid Engineering Dual Battery system, SPod 6 switch, 2 pairs Rigid D2 spot & flood in bumper, ARE Expedition Cap, bedglide,Tru Cool 45K GVW add on transmission cooler, Re-gear to 4.56, rigid rear bumper floods, scan guage II, rigid ditch lights. full size spare on matching factory wheel, seat mods/insert, CB w/magnet mount.
All Pro Apex sliders for my acess cab have been great for me. If you’re running dogs the fill plates and die stamped holes can also be useful. All pro invented the “kick out” and their design leaves the bottom of the frame flat with no protrusions. The size of the tubing and the weld quality coupled with the angle, looks & dimensions and attachment design is what sold me on the all pros. They stick out just enough for me to use them as a step without them being in the way and while working flawlessly as rock sliders and keeping the lower sides of my truck body free from trail debris and brush tracks, etc.
