    I have an 2009 Tacoma.

    1. Lately it has become nearly impossible to raise or lower the volume on the OEM head unit. When I rotate the head unit volume knob, it just spins and spins. Is there a way to remove the knob or is there something that needs cleaning as far as the head unit knob is concerned?

    2. My AUX jack seems to not be working well. How can I replace the AUX jack? Is it difficult to take the dash apart to get to the AUX port?

    Thanks

Bump. I have the same problem. I haven't tried anything yet. I was hoping for some great advice here.

Same with my 09..lol although it hasn’t done it the past month . I’m just saving up for an after market double din deck. For now as long as I can change the volume on my steering wheel I’ll deal with it. I haven’t checked my AUX at all though

Can't help for the volume knob issue but Aux Input replacement is super easy. Pop out the Climate Control panel and push the old Aux jack out from the rear and disconnect, reconnect the replacement and pop in from the front. Replace the CC panel and you're done. 5 minutes. If you can't picture all this, there are some YouTube videos out there showing how.

I sourced my Aux Input replacement from Amazon, about $60.
