    Hello Tacoma friends, my question:
I have a 2017 taco sport with stock 17" wheels, can I put a set of stock 16" wheels from 2016 off road package on this truck without any ill affects or modifications?

    I'd say yes.

They have the same bolt pattern etc. So, yeah, that should be no problem.

NOW GTFO WITH YOUR 3RD GEN NONSENSE! Just kidding.

Yes as long as your also using a 16" tire. If your planning on swapping your stock tires to the 16" wheel, that won't work. Also you will want to make sure you transfer over your TPMS sensors to the new wheels unless you like warning lights on your dash.

FYI, I see your new at this. Here is the link to the 3rd gen section. You'd be best posting questions there.
